Web Development & Accessibility

Build a business website with clear content and usable interactions, or improve the accessibility of an existing site. New builds and remediation follow different delivery plans, with scope and acceptance criteria agreed at the start.

Discuss this service

Who this is for

Business owners and digital teams commissioning a website or addressing specific accessibility barriers.

What the work can include

  • Business websites with agreed content, page structure and integrations
  • Responsive navigation, forms and reusable interface components
  • Accessibility assessment against an agreed WCAG version and level, and relevant EN 301 549 criteria
  • Source code fixes for identified keyboard, screen reader and visual barriers
  • Documented retesting, remaining limitations and a maintenance handover

How delivery works

  1. Choose the delivery path

For a new build, agree content and journeys. For remediation, assess the existing site and barriers.

  2. Agree the design and scope

Approve the structure or remediation backlog, integrations and test criteria.

  3. Build or remediate

Implement the agreed pages and components, or fix identified problems in the existing source.

  4. Verify and launch

Test agreed journeys, record limitations and hand over deployment and maintenance responsibilities.

  • Agreement on hosting, maintenance and third-party integrations

Common questions

Is every business website subject to the same accessibility rules?

Applicability depends on the service and legal context. Technical accessibility work can also be valuable where a statutory obligation does not apply. Confirm legal applicability separately.

Does an assessment certify the whole website?

The report states the evaluated pages, journeys, criteria and limitations. It does not imply certification of untested content or future changes.
